Il Mondiale in Inghilterra “frutta” 4 medaglie di bronzo all’Italia

La delegazione azzurra ha preso parte al prestigioso World English Sporting Clays Championship 2025, svoltosi presso il bellissimo impianto E.J. Churchill di High Wycombe, nella contea del Buckinghamshire, in Inghilterra, presentandosi con 2 squadre ufficiali: Man e Veterani. Il team Man schierava: Gregorio D'Ambrosio (anche in veste di delegato e funzionario Fidasc), Enrico Lugli, Mattia Cecchetti, Michele Ghezza e Enrico De Tomasi. Mentre la formazione Veterani era composta da Gabriele Soldani, Giovanni Selvaggio e Salvatore Varone. Entrambe le squadre hanno affrontato una competizione di altissimo livello, articolata su 28 pedane di tiro suddivide in 2 gruppi da 14 (campo rosso e campo blu), con la partecipazione di circa 2.000 atleti provenienti da tutto il mondo. La delegazione italiana ha iniziato a sparare il 18 luglio, tutte le altre invece nei giorni precedenti, a partire dal 12 luglio.

Il primo giorno soleggiato, non altrettanto purtroppo il secondo, con abbondanti piogge. Nonostante la pioggia si riusciva a sparare in un clima tipicamente primaverile. I piattelli erano molto insidiosi e con distanze che raggiungevano anche i 60 metri. L’Italia ha ottenuto un risultato di grande prestigio, conquistando 4 medaglie di bronzo così “ripartite”: Mattia Cecchetti ha conquistato il terzo posto nella categoria B, la squadra Veterani si è classificata terza a livello internazionale e la squadra Man ha ottenuto un quinto posto.
